Lamidi Nofisat Motunrayo Declares Her Aspiration for General Secretary
In a significant announcement this evening, 9th Day of December, 2024 Lamidi Nofisat Motunrayo, a dedicated graduate of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, officially declared her intention to run for the position of General Secretary in the upcoming IOSUG elections. Hailing from Idau Compound, Nofisat shared her aspirations to enhance administrative efficiency, transparency, and unity within the Union.
During a detailed conversation, Nofisat outlined her plans to revolutionize record-keeping and documentation processes. She proposed the adoption of a digital record system, emphasizing the use of secure cloud platforms like Google Drive to ensure documents are well-organized, easily accessible, and safely backed up. She also stressed the importance of a proper filing structure, categorizing records by dates and events to ensure quick and efficient retrieval.
To streamline the documentation and dissemination of meeting minutes, Nofisat highlighted her proficiency in using Google Docs for real-time collaboration and tools like WhatsApp and email for swift distribution to all stakeholders. She demonstrated a clear understanding of these tools' functionality, drawing from her experience with platforms such as Google Drive, which she described as user-friendly and effective for file management and controlled access.
When asked how she would handle conflicting directives from executives, Nofisat emphasized her commitment to fairness and impartiality. “I would seek to understand the reasoning behind each directive through open communication with the President and the other executives,” she explained. Nofisat proposed consulting the Union’s constitution and existing policies to guide her decisions, adding that she would document all steps for future reference to ensure transparency.
