INCUMBENT NATIONAL PRESIDENT OJUEKAIYE OLUSEGUN ABDULLATEEF ACHIEVEMENT SINCE RESUMED OFFICE

On the 1st of January 2021, I was able to build on the legacy been built by the formal administration which I promise on continuity during my swearing-in.

In this process,  with the help of our philanthropists, I was able to carry out some projects under my administration e.g. We were able to register at least 47 students for the 2021 jamb registration exercise,  also with the help of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Yagba East, our student were been trained & lectured for the exercises.

We also organized our end of the year program by organizing Quiz & Debate competition for our secondary schools and primary schools. School fees scholarship for all the participants in our last year Quiz competition program likewise automatic jamb slot for all the participants in our debate competition.

Lastly for the year 2021 activities, we were able to hold our Miss Ife-Olukotun beauty pageants program successfully all thanks to Club10 and our beloved philanthropists.

While in the year 2022 so far, we were able to registered 19 students for jamb. Also we were able to gain a scholarship for some of our student in higher institution through Senator Smart Adeyemi (SSA) bursary.

My pioneer is to move Ife-Olukotun student union and our community forward, I really want our students to attain greatness in such a way that we will be able to promote and defend the welfare needs of our community to make the future more successful.

I am often asked questions about what is next for our community. How can we influence that to make the future more successful? Today I am writing about a few of the things we need to make happen if we really want to move our community forward.

HERE IS WHAT I THINK IS ON THE ROAD AHEAD (IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER):

First, we need to see a continued increase in entrepreneurship in our area. Our community rose on the fortunes of the early to mid-20th century entrepreneurs who took a risk and invested in our area. They might have been manufacturers, retailers, or service providers, but take a look at the many multi-generational businesses we have around town.

They have helped to shape our community and continue to hold positions of prominence, but we cannot solely rely on them. We need a new generation of entrepreneurs to step out and make an investment in our community. They could be in manufacturing, technology, retail, or service, but we need them to start their business here also.
