Comrade Khadijah Aliu plans to reunite I.O.S.U.G if they emerged as the next I.O.S.U.G president.
Khadijah is the running mate to the I.O.S.U.G presidential aspirant Comrade Jamiu Eni-Ire.
The 400 level student of Prince Abubakar Audu University Ayingba,from the most prestigious faculty of Education, department of English and literary studies hail from Okere clan.
She is also the present general secretary of IOSUG KSU chapter.
Khadijah was interviewed by Salau Raheem and Comrade Jamiu Abiodun on AMA program to showcase their ambition on what they have for the community Ife-olukotun on the 8th December, 2022.
She is popular in the community, "I'm popular mostly among students and elders in the community because of my generosity and simplicity.'
She said her first project is unity, uniting members for the development of the union.
Among is the project listed to excecute for IOSUG if elected: unity, Financial stability, Registration of IOSUG.
Sourcing for scholarships for the students which will help in strengthening the quality of their education she added.
Knowledge is power and it good to know what you're chosen for, Khadijah explained all necessary things we need to know for been chosen as the running mate.
She described the level of relationship with the presidential aspirant as immeasurable.
She furthermore "Reverse is the case here because my president didn't choose me because of pulling crowd. He did that because of my experience, confidence and trust he have in me for a better IOSUG."
She also explain some functionalities of I.O.S.U.G and how they plan to achieve SDGs goals.
She hilighted the functions of ASP to I.O.S.U.G as:
1. To represent the students within structures and
externally, ensuring the student voice is effectively heard.
2. Actively contribute to the development of the Union Strategy and objectives identifying targets and measuring achievements as appropriate.
3. To be an active leader in advancing and promoting the agreed strategy of the Students
Union with president and other executives.
4. To uphold the democratic system of the IOSUG.
5. To ensure that the activities of the Union reflect the demographics of the membership,
and that their interests are recognized appropriately.
6. To ensure that the activities of the Union adhere to, and promote behavioural
standards expected by the Students Union.
7. To execute the duties of the office of Vice President to highest standard, ensuring the
position is properly held accountable and held in the highest regard.
8. Represent the president in any gathering where the president isn't available.
"SDGs goals can be proven via our projects in supporting the education, unity, justice and peace of the students. We believe this is a tremendous way towards the growth of the union."
"This is through series of projects just to mention few such as skills acquisition empowerment which will help in reducing the rate of poverty among our youths."
