The Federation of Yagba Students (FYS) has expressed profound gratitude to the Management of FARMWELL.WA for establishing a 250-capacity JAMB Computer-Based Test (CBT) center in Ife Olukotun, Yagba East Local Government Area, Kogi State.
The newly inaugurated CBT center is expected to ease the burden on students who previously had to travel to Kwara and Ekiti States for their JAMB UTME examinations due to the lack of a JAMB CBT center in the entire Yagba Federal Constituency.
In an official statement released by Comr. Hassan Oluwasegun Sherifdeen, National President of FYS, the students' body praised FARMWELL.WA for addressing a long-standing challenge that has affected Yagba students since JAMB adopted the CBT format in 2015.
"For years, Yagba students have suffered from the absence of a JAMB CBT center, forcing them to travel long distances to neighboring states. This initiative is a huge relief and will significantly reduce travel stress, financial burdens, and logistical difficulties for our students," Sherifdeen said.
The situation began to improve in 2023 when Hon. Elder Leke Joseph Abejide established the first JAMB CBT center in Isanlu, Yagba East LG. With the addition of the FARMWELL.WA CBT Centre in Ife Olukotun, students now have greater access to examination facilities, ensuring a seamless and stress-free UTME experience.
FYS officials commended FARMWELL.WA for their commitment to educational development and urged other stakeholders to support similar initiatives that will enhance academic opportunities for students in Yagba Federal Constituency.
