Sherifdeen Toluwase Lamidi, is a graduate of Banking and Finance from Kogi State University, an Associate Accounting Technician and also an Associate chartered accountant. He is from Ife-Olukotun, Idau compound.
The former President of the Ife-Olukotun Students Union Sherifdeen Toluwase Lamidi, said the Ife-Olukotun development is the responsibility of every citizen, education and youth empowerment lies at the pivot to a sustainable development, studying the right course and having a good network of personalities would help position our youth for a great future which underpin the development of the community.

The president listed the below has the summary of his achievements during his administration for the two years in the office.
Sherifdeen and his Executive was able to obtained Jamb form for 70 students of Ife-Olukotun origin in the years 2019 and 2020 respectively where a significant portion of the 70 students gained admission into various higher institutions in the country.
He established a Mini library and purchased around 100 jamb series, textbooks that cover all SSCE subjects to help Ife- Olukotun students in effectively preparing for their JAMB and WASSCE examination and also assisted our tutors in our yearly Jamb tutorials. All these are being handed over to the incoming administration and these feet are unprecedented.
Toluwase purchased 45 plastic chairs for the Union, even though he inherited an empty Hall and have to rent chairs for all his activities. He is leaving behind chairs, this will save the incoming administration cost of the rentals and also serve as as source of income, this foot is also unprecedented.
Toluwase and his Excos was the first administration to Implement Database to store the data of Ife-Olukotun’s graduates, this is intended to facilitate easy access to a p pool of graduates of students from Ife-Olukotun when the need arises.
“During our administration one of our philanthropists has established a scholarship board for indigent students from Ife-Olukotun and environs to facilitate their fee payment, we are a principal player and our students are the principal beneficiaries.”
“We established and maintained an online platform “Ife-olukotun Students affairs” where information on Jobs, education, latest happenings are being disseminated, also we organize periodic lectures on this platform and we successfully manage the platform against spam and other irrelevant messages.”
“We successfully organized debates, quizzes, and spelling bee competitions for our secondary and primary school students for the two years of our administration.”
“We successfully organized career sensitization for our secondary school leavers for the two years of our administration, this serves to guide our students in choosing a career.”
“Under our administration the Miss Ife-Olukotun that served with us successfully organized seminars affecting women, girl child, and the society at large, these programs had a great impact on our community especially women.”
“We successfully organized a community-wide sensitization program and awareness on Covid 19 and electoral violence.”
“ We Reintroduce the long-forgotten annual due to serve as a primary source of inflow for the union and not necessarily have to rely on external sources to do basic things and many more other achievements.”
Lastly the union under the leadership Sherifdeen Toluwase Lamidi (Former) portrayed the image of the union positively and change People mentality that students unionism is not about rascality, it's about intelligence and effective leadership, during our administration we redirect the ship and focus more on education, our spending on social activities were drastically reduced and we left a source of internal inflow for the incoming administration to reduce their reliance on external sources of finance.
Also we handed over stamps, banner and stickers to the new administration amongst other physical materials.

Sherifdeen enjoin and urge the incumbent president to focus on students’, skill empowerment, and collaborating with Ife-Olukotun philanthropist for more development in the student union and to the community.
He also said the benefits in joining student’s politics arises as a result of my quest to develop my public speaking and interpersonal development, comrades like Ahmed Muritala, Otitolaiye Emmanuel, Moshood Ayuba, Ahmed Valentine, Sonibare Liadi, Rasheed Royal etc.
He enjoyed working with Mohammed Eni-ere Jamiu because of his commitment and passion for the union.
