NYSC PCM FULL GUIDE

This text is sorely based on the prospective corps member.

The National Youth Service Corps prospective corps member  PCM  are students that has been approved by the school management to carry out their one 1 year national youth service program.

The NYSC scheme is divided in to batches Batch A, Batch B and Batch C all this batches has  streams, Stream 1 and Stream 2.

Batch is just like set and stream is a section. The interver between a stream is just two months.

PCM stands for prospective corp members. These are set of students that has been approved by the school management to carry out their 1 year national youth service program.

Alot has been asking about PCM and the possible process involves to be a corps member, if you don't know you're not a corps member on till the day of your swearing in ceremony.

What you need to do as a PCM:

After your approval from the school and the Senate list the registration is next stage.

1. Work in to any Cyber cafe check your senate list and your graduation list.

2. If successful proceed and register on the NYSC portal, make sure you have a working make that it's accessible, also your matric and jamb number will be demanded for the registration.

3. After the registration you have to wait for about 24 hours or lately 2days before your green card is ready, the green card is just the confirmation registration slip given inorder  to get ready for the call up letter.

Call up letter is mostly given after the closure of the NYSC registration and to be found on your nysc dashboard.

Call up letter is a letter that shows your posting state, posting date, posting camp, and all the necessary bio data needed for registration in the camp.

Document needed to take along are:

1. Passport (10 minimum white background passport) or more than because alot of passport shall be demanded from you.

2. Your school Identity card showing your matric number.

3. Your green card (first printout after your NYSC Registration)

4. Call up letter

5. School certificate (ND and HND, BSC, Bed etc) regards to your qualifications.

6. Medical fitness Certificate. The medical fitness certificate are to be obtained from a government hospital either state or federal hospital. Also note private medical fitness is void means not accepted in the camp.

7. If all your certificate is not a load for you due ensure you carry everything because Nigeria system is not permanent, remember there's room for renovations, adjustment.

Materia needed in the camp

1. White shirts (2 to 3) pears.

2. White nickers (2-3) pears 

3. White shoes and shocks(1-2) pears, slippers.

4. Saving stick 

5. Blade (if they will allow)

6. Towel, bedsheet.

7. 5-6 up and down home wears.

8. Mosquito net.

9. Medicine 

10. Tea and milk and other beverages.

11. Spoon, food flask, water bottle.

12. Toothpaste and toothbrush.

13. Bathing soap, washing soap, bathing sponge, washing sponge.

14. Bucket and hand bowl.

What you shouldn't bring

1. All sharp objects like knife, iron, clippers, stove, gas, bottle, etc

2. Bed, Car, bicycle, motorcycle. Etc

3. Hard drugs

Every corps member shall be checked before entry so be careful of harmful materials inorder not to be sent back.

Arrival in the camp a bed space will be given to you and nysc full activities starts Immediately.
