When I was a teenager, I started my journey into tech using just paper and pen. I didn't even know it would become my future career. I only began learning it to prepare for JAMB. But that small step, taken without knowing where it would lead, became the foundation of something greater.

During my early computing classes, I had no computer of my own. I could only practice when I went to the study center. It wasn’t easy, but I made the most of every moment I had. That’s when I discovered something powerful I had a deep interest in technology. I knew this was the path for me.
So, I made a bold decision to study Computer Science. Still without a computer, I started writing and running code on paper. Later, I began using my phone to test my code because I had passion, and I refused to give up.
One day, during my IT in Lagos, a kind-hearted woman from my family gave me her laptop. That changed everything. I finally had a real chance to start putting into practice everything I had written and imagined.
I began learning seriously from free websites like W3Schools and other online platforms. I believed in one thing: there is no excuse for failure.
When I got my first job, I was chosen as a computer operator. Even though I had little hands-on experience, I believed in myself. The job was tough. I was criticized, rejected, and even mocked. But instead of giving up, I listened to the corrections, learned from the feedback, and improved.
That mindset helped my career grow. I started teaching others what I knew, remembering how others once taught me. I still pray for those people and give back whenever I can. I haven't forgotten where I started or who helped me along the way.
Since then, I’ve worked in many organizations as a technical staff, developer, graphics designer, and facilitator.
My message to you is simple: Never give up. Keep the spirit alive. You’ll face frustration especially in tech and software development but don’t relent. Your breakthrough is on the way.
